One piece, one figure: why we do not sell powder

There are three ways kratom is commonly sold: loose powder, capsules, and a pre-measured piece such as a gummy or a chewable tablet. We make the third kind only. This is the reasoning.
What a fixed piece is
A fixed piece is a unit made to carry a stated amount of the active material, the same amount every time it is made. A Kratom Addicts gummy carries 25 mg of mitragynine. A chewable tablet carries 200 mg. A Shruums tablet carries 10 mg of the mushroom blend. The figure is printed on the pack, and the batch report for the run is the evidence for it.
What powder asks of you
Loose powder is sold by weight. To take a consistent amount, you need a scale accurate to a tenth of a gram, a way to keep the powder dry, and a laboratory result for that specific harvest to know what a gram contains. Most people do not have the scale or the result. A teaspoon is not a measure: the same spoon holds a different weight depending on how fine the grind is and how firmly it is packed.
Capsules solve the measuring but not the variance. A capsule states a weight of leaf, and the alkaloid content of that leaf still depends on the harvest.
What a fixed piece changes
With a fixed piece, the measuring is done at the factory, and the figure that comes out of the laboratory is a figure per piece rather than per gram of something you still have to weigh. There is nothing to prepare and nothing to spill, and one piece can be carried on its own. A blister of tablets makes that especially easy: each tablet sits in its own pocket.
What it does not change
A fixed piece is not a claim about effect, and it is not a recommendation about how many to take. It is a unit of measure you can read. The right number of pieces for you is a question for you and, if you take any medication, for your doctor. The pack, the product page and the responsible use page all say the same thing.
